It amazes me how we tend to forget that we knew the place was going to be renovated! I have lived her for several years and love the new mgmt and all that they are doing to improve the building. The compliants listed are the reason why they are renovating to take care of the building and upgrade it.
It seems the ones who complain can't afford it and if they are not happy then leave no one makes them stay!
If you are the one who keeps coming down and yelling at the staff and you know who you are..... Then maybe you should have left a long time ago if you are so unhappy why do you choose to make everyone else unhappy!!
The Latrobe is the best place to leave with an awsome staff I would recomend it to anyone and I do!
Happy Resident!!

Every person is entitled to its opinion--however, it's hard to believe this "Happy Resident" is oblivious to its horrible surroundings and the abusive treatment by management and its staff--except Tommy and Frank who are the only redeeming people at this wanna-to-be apartment home. Warning: Don't move in. There are other beautiful apartment buildings with genuinely friendly staff for the same amount of rent or less.

Is this "I love the Latrobe!" plug for real of some kind of an ad? It really stands out from all the other very valid comments, so I'm curious about who posted this and why they needed to do it anonymously. It's not like they'll have to worry about payback from Latrobe management, it's the only positive comment I've seen this year. Anyway, I just moved out of the Latrobe (yippee!) after too many months of misery, and I'm now paying $300 a month less to live in a rent controlled building in Adams Morgan with great management, no construction crews letting themselves in and out of my unit, no vermin, and no coming home to holes in my walls and construction dust over all of my belongings. So, for those who wish to spend their hard-earned money intelligently, there ARE some good rental options out there, you just have to look. I actually found my new place in a day. Good luck to everyone who is still there. Seriously.
