This is by FAR the worst apartment living situation I have ever encountered. The management is awful and I have never gone a month where I was not fighting a battle with them about damages that workers caused in my apartment or money they owed us. They are the most unorganized, unprofessional, and unaccessible people I have ever dealt with. The worst part is that it is a perfect location and a great layout (2BD, 2BA) so I hate that the management ruins its amazing potential. I was lied to upon signing a lease about the real amount of construction that the upcoming renovations would cause. Pipes have burst causing floods not only in my apartment but in others as well. I have NEVER had access to the rooftop deck that was such a huge draw in the beginning. I won't even get to experiece the "luxuries" of the renovations because my rent will go up $600 at the end of our lease. In my time at the Latrobe I have experienced rotting wood cabinets in the kitchen, stove-top burners that don't work, broken blinds, broken toilet, flooding, SEVERAL major rodent/wildlife issues, and that's just the start. Also, the Comcast representative that the Latrobe recommended told us our package would cost much less and then disappeared, changed his cell number, and left us with a much larger bill (for internet that NEVER works). It is safe to say NONE of my expectations or promises from the management were fulfilled during my time at the Latrobe. I seriously do not recommend living here. It is simply not worth the hassle and the trouble.

I wholeheartedly agree! Since I have lived here, I have had my heating system break down three times (November through February). Other tenants have had burst pipes and flooding in their units, and the management refuse to reimburse them for damages to their personal property from the flooding. The management totally sucks. They have a really "ghetto" atitude about fixing the computer and coffee machine in the community room. As this poster says, DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!
