I'm Getting the Hell Out of Here!!

I'm moving the hell out of here.

They gave me a tour while this place was still under construction and I thought it would be great. I moved in here November 2006. The things first sold as amenities (parking, fitness center, concierge *Kim''*, business center) they are now calling a courtesy, and that is wrong. Duane is nice and helps me out all the time. I have a 2 year old and he goes above and beyond. It's hard to take care of a whole building like this.

They are working on the highway right outside the building. There is a big project on 295 and they are building ramps and bridges. Knocking stuff down all early in the morning. I don't appreciate paying alsmost $1300 a month to wake up to the sounds of bridge building and jackhammers at 7 in the morning.

I feel sorry for the elderly and disabled people who live here. They have no allies in this building. Fire Alarms going off all hours of the night and they can't even get down. You can't just buzz your visitors in. So if your sick or on your death bed, you still have to put some clothes on and walk to the elevator and go down to the lobby to let people in.

Don't move here. Everything is cheap. If you have a small child there is no way to secure your front door. They could open the door too easily. The toilet flap breaks every week. It got to a point where I just tried to keep fixing it myself every week.

The cable lines are a mess. Comcast won't fix the lines because they say our building wouldn't let them run the lines. They say our management wanted to run and own all rights to the lines in the building, so it wasn't their problem.

The biggest disappointment here by far is the property management. The one that lives here on the premisis needs to be fired. She doesn't even try to help tenants with any issues. I heard she has two parking spaces. One for her brand new Range Rover and another for her old range rover she had before this job. I also heard that she has the biggest 3 bedroom in the building. Her attitude is horrible because she runs everything and gets everything she wants. She gives her friends good parking spaces and section 8 apartments. And harrasses everyone that pays $1300 rent every month. She gets paid $65,000 a year and doesn't even pay $1000 for the 3 bedroom she lives in with all her kids and husbnand.

I don't know why they think a ghetto person like her has the people skills to effectively and efficiently run a complex this big. Its a shame. She drives her car from one end of the complex where she has 2 parking spaces to an illegal parking space in front of the lobby in the garage. She can't even walk from her apartment to the office. I can't wait to get the hell out of here.

Kim acts like she tries to help people but really hates on you. She needs to get some people and communication skills. After this property is ran down I hope no one hires her to torment her own people like this ever again!!!!

This is so ture, although I don't think kim gets paid that much I know from personall resources and if she do then she in for a rude awakening and law suit LMAO. But anyway, kim can only do what she is allowed to do, as well as duwayne. you are right about the doors my two year old runs out the front door every so often cause all he has to do is pull the latch and it unlocks. The back enterence door never fully closes so there goes security, and people frequently prop open the door leading into the building back there. The alarm went off in the wee hours of the morning this morning. I mean the place is going to the dogs, I will be out of there in a few months and believe me i will not turn back it is awful.

I read with great interest what you had to say. I had to pinch myself to make sure I didn't write those words myself. However, I think the problem is nether Kim nor Dwayne; my impression of them have been positive. I blame the management company. There is absolutely no reason why the elevator should be breaking down every week!!! I am almost in tears whenever I see the old and elderly breathlessly climbing stairs because of elevator outage. IF KONE CAN'T MAINTAIN THE ELEVATOR SOMEONE SHOULD BE MAN ENOUGH TO PICK UP THE PHONE AND LAY THEM OUT!!!!! Its not Kim nor is it Dwayne. I don't care so much about me but if my old mother was subjected to this, the Supreme Court will be hearing from me. And they have raised rent!!! I am watching very closely to see what difference this would make in service. If things continue the way they are, I sure will move. I don't believe in throwing away money. What I have observed is that people are willing to pay for service. They get pissed when they pay and the service is not delivered. The management has to wake up. If they need help to run this place, I will volunteer to help them out, but they have to be willing to empower me to say anything to anyone. That empowerment is VERY important. Why should it take months to fix a microwave!!! Hey, we are not talking about a part for an Airbus 380 jumbo jet...we are talking about a microwave!!! Why should it take 9 weeks to fix a dryer!!! Come on...If I was in charge...I have to stop here...I feel my blood pressure sky rocketing...I believe my point is clear.

I am going to try to reply to this as professional as possible, but the owner, Mr. Chapman is THE BIGGEST ASS I have ever come in to contact with. After his assistants, Ms. Latanya and " I think I know my job" Heather failed at assisting me I deciced to call him and he was so rude. He asked me what I wanted in a rude way and then told me he was busy. After that I knew I was done, I am crossing the dates as they pass until my lease is up. If the owner of the property doesnt care, why would his employees.
