I have lived here since March 2007 and I have not had half of the problems most mention on here. I had problems with my dishwasher and one of my doors...maintenance fixed it right away. On my side of the building it is clean and well up-kept....clean trash room and hallways. The elevator is cleaned EVERY morning. And as far as management, they have always been responsive to me. Give respect...receive respect. In that area you are not going to find something for that price with all the nice amenities. Come on...full size washers/dryers in-unit. Most low-income apartments in DC do not have what Lotus Square has. Just about every apartment complex I've been in...you could here your neighbors...I believe that's why they have houses for more privacy. And until you get there, appreciate what you can afford and take care of it. Overall, my stay here has been pleasant.

I strongly disagree with you. I understand that no two situations are the same but you almost make me feel we don't live in the same apartment. I am still waiting for my second bedroom door to get fixed for 15 months. Yes, 15 months! My dryer was out and it took two months to get it fixed. My microwave has been out for a month and I was just told when I complained that "Microwave is an amenity not a necessity"! You call that service?!!! And the rent just went up! Come on give me a break!!!

I disagree with you also, I moved in September 2007 ( I would call it a rush move on their part) and the broken door frame has yet to be fixed ( from the people that were evicted prior to me moving in, the management didnt have a key to the apartment so they had to enter with force). The carpet was filthy dirty, and I had to have it shampooed myself or wait for them to do it, which I did wait for 2 weeks and it was never done so I did it myself. The toilet cover was and is still broken. I wasnt given a fob to enter the building until the following month, so I was told to "pggy back" off of other residents. And the walls are thin, when the residents below me fight I can hear every word that they yell, when they are in love and happy I hear every love song that they play. I can not wait until my lease is up.
