I have been here since 2001 and have seen several management companies (1) HGSmithy, (2)Gables (3)Edgewood (4) current company; and now EIGHT (8) property managers. What's wrong with this picture'''''
The only one almost constant employee is the rent/garage manager, and manager being very loosely interpreted. There has been a time or two where there was no management company of record. Security: Guardian Angels walked off because they were not paid their salary. Current security walks the grounds but make no effort to note cars without handicapped tags or hanging placard displayed on the vehicle. So those needing the spaces are left to park elsewhere. They have made no reports to management re lack of lighting on the parking lot between 2300 and the gardens, and the pool. Or maybe that's not one of their responsibilities. But, wait a minute, employees including maintenance crew live on the premises, why don't they note it to property manager and have the lighting replaced' Several employees park in the garage where water has been coming from the ceiling for years!! The parking manager also parks here and passes trash and water every day but does nothing to stop the problems.
Yesterday 5:30 pm someone urinated in elevator # 4, 2300 building. Security on duty at the time reported it to Ms. Battle, fat lot of good that did.
There are cats that holler all night. Not supposed to be any pets, according to the lease. There are dogs. Folks don't clean up after their pets. There's a Poop Scoop Law on the books in D.C. There are pit bulls on the premises. If I knew the owners I would inform management, who would probably say there's nothing they can do about it.
Gonna stop here, but believe you me I could write a book on Marbury Plaza, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly and the Indifferent.

Sorry, Baby Mrs. Battle hasn't been at Marbury Plaza since 2006. Get you facts straight, before you start posting your comments.

I know when BattleShip left. Just sharing various info on site. My-My-My... I posted back in March, even though the system states April and you're just responding; and please the name is not Baby (even if it is a term of endearment)we don't know each other in that sense. All my facts are straight. Just doing a cut-paste however forwarded before proofing. Sorry this confused you. I should be more diligent in my postings so as to avoid any more flippant comments.
As you can see subject line says I've been here since 2004-2008, but the beginning of the narrative states tenure since 2001. Nevertheless, in America we all have the freedom of speech, whether it's verbal or written.
The parking manager(not the current manager, but Ms. BattleShip) also parked here and passed trash and water every day but did nothing to stop the problems.

Oh, wait a minute, that was not in her scope of duties and responsibilities. Let's not quibble about this. We're not here to 'fight' but to give our opinions; and we know about opinions... they're like a part of the anatomy - everybody has one.
auf Wiedersehen: till we meet again or good-bye for now.
