I actually enjoyed living here and was proud to show off my apartment to my visitors. Tenants need to understand how to get things in their apartment done and how to work with people in the leasing and maintence. I was promised new cabinets before I moved into my apartment but didn't get them until 6 months later. It wasn't that big of a deal for me to pitch a *&^%^, but I continued to show respect for the front office and maintence and eventually got brand new cabinets rather than never getting them at all. And because I developed a relationship with the personnel, EVERYTHING I needed fixed was fixed in a timely manner. I lived on a quiet floor, had no roach or mice problem and because I paid a little extra always had a parking space and allowed my guests to park in the garage also -he he. The floorplans are HUGE!!! I wouldn't recommend this place if you're not used to being around disorderly and uncouth people or if your interpersonal skills sucks.

It is what it is and in DC you have to pay for the best and the rental market is not giving you any more than what you are paying. If you find something better that don't have income restrictions attached in dc then let everybody know of your discovery. Until then, continue to live in your dump apartment because mines if far from one with ALL brand new appliances thank you very much! -the "stupid" one that don't live in a dump :)
