They are the biggest downside to living at Mass Court. It's a great building, but it's expensive and you expect good service when you pay those prices. The staff seems to think that a nice apartment is all you deserve for your money. They don't realize that included with that price you expect good service. And they should be going above and beyond considering this area isn't REALLY a neighborhood yet. It's convenient to nightlife and entertainment kind of stuff, but don't think you're going to walk out of your door and get something important - like GROCERIES!

I complained to the management 6 months ago about something that still has not been resolved. Eventually I got tired of complaining and, after getting notice of my HUGE rent increase (about 15 percent) I decided that, even though I'm in a position to pay the increase, it would be like sanctioning their bad behavior. I'm moving.

This place is fine if you never have a problem. If you have a problem, watch out! As others have said, the concierge staff is great and they go to the end of the earth for you. The leasing staff' Forget about it!

As for the rats mentioned on another person's posting, I've been in the building since it first opened and I haven't seen anything, so the problem isn't universal. I did see a few bugs (like two or three) a few months ago (probably someone moved into a unit close to mine and brought them along) but my apartment was treated once and I haven't seen any more.

Speaking of, the maintenance staff is also nice and responsive. Better cozy up to them because if you depend on the leasing staff you'll never get anything done.

Check your lease VERY carefully...I live in the building and the year over year increase is capped at 1.5%. I had a lawyer review it before I signed.

Not the best neighborhood at all. One upside: It's close to the 395 ramp! If you want something better, look 9 or 10 blocks higher on mass ave.
