Not worth it.

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
The building markets itself as a luxury apartment home for affluent young professionals. When I was looking at apartments, they marketed a long list of amenities that did not materialize on my move-in, nor have they for the 14 months that I have lived there. One example: they claimed to have daily free exercise classes in their "yoga room" which never materialized after move-in. They do have twice-weekly classes that are expensive and poorly-timed for working professionals. Another example: when I was considering moving there, they claimed that a Starbucks was going to move into their commercial space within the month. 14 months later, no Starbucks. It seems to be a culture of mismanagement in the building. Every time there is any type of event to benefit the residents, it seems to occur too early in the evening for working people to attend.
Your neighbors if you live here are not mainly working professionals. They are mainly Georgetown Law students. They love to party. The rooftop deck turns into Spring Break San Padre Island every summer evening. Friday and Saturday nights it can get very noisy. This is truly insane if you consider that the building doesn't seem to be half-full.
Parking is a nightmare! It is about 180 a month to park in the garage. No problem, you say, I'll park on the street, there is plenty of parking available. DC GOVERNMENT DOES NOT LET RESIDENTS OF THIS BUILDING GET STREET PARKING PERMITS. Moreover, the building is classified in the wrong "neighborhood" by the DC Departmant of Elections and Ethics, so your neighborhhod representative WILL NOT TRY TO HELP. I have spent A LOT of time and effort trying to remedy this situation and I have two things to report:
1. DC Government is really, really messed up.
2. The developers made sure things were set up so that you would be forced to park in the building if you own a car.
That's it. Everything in this building looks very nice, but don't get sucked in thinking that there are amenities!
-- After posting this review, I read some of the other reviews and a lot seem to be dead-on. The hole in the front of the building where the police car crashed through is still there. Trammel Crowe posted a big profit last quarter. And if you believe the good reviews, you are a sucker. With a couple exceptions, I guarantee you they were written by a leasing manager in our building.
