The leasing office is a nightmare, the apartment is unbelievably loud, the amenities look nice but are never working because the building never bothers to fix them. The building looks so nice the first time you see it that it sells itself, which is good because half the leasing office seems to lack opposable thumbs. They attempt to suck every penny from the tenants without providing the services they flaunt when trying to get you in the door. They are unhelpful, uncaring, and incompetent. The building is constructed with an eye to savings and the functions are brutally bad. I honestly think the business plan is to cycle tenants through yearly to assess their non-refundable "amenities fees" and entirely skimp on customer service.

The trouble for us started on day one. God forbid you pay with online bill pay, because the staff seems incapable of doing the simple task of opening the mail every day. We almost were not allowed into our aparment on move in even though they had cashed our move-in check over a week before, but had failed to credit it to our account. This problem arose twice more over the last year, each time having cashed our check yet not taking the time credit our account. Each time this happen I recieved angry and threatening contacts from the leasing office over my "repeated lateness of payment". Ye Gods!

And the move-in day' Though we had reserved the freight elevator (note: this took 7 months to fix), it was out of service, as was another. SO, we had to move all our stuff in using the one elevator left for the entire building. There is a cart that residents may check out for an hour that can help transport stuff easily. One would think that, since we had scheduled move-in and we were sharing an elevator with the whole building, they could hold the cart for us when it came back. That would be too easy. They said they would not reserve the cart for us, and we could either stand down there and wait for it or just try again. This was at 1 PM. We finally got the cart at 9:30. And we were still moving in at that time, because the elevator was not fixed. Then, when we finally finished moving in a little after midnight, they tried to fine us for using the cart for more than an hour. This was one of the front office's nice days.

So, if you don't mind that nothing works, that any plea for help is met with indignation and condescension, unbelievable levels of noise, and that half the tenants are G-town law students who act like they still are living in a dorm, then this place is for you.

Although in the defense of the leasing office, they do send out emails thanking us for our money on all major holidays. So I guess they do earn their salary.
