Dear all, I would appreciate some candid advice (from a non-leasing agent) on the virtues of this building. Is the management still poor' Are there still people having sex in the pool' How's the noise level for apartments facing the courtyard' It's been a few months since anyone has posted a review so I'm hopeful that the situation has improved in the interim.

Thank you for your honest advice. What a shame. With better management, Mass Court could be a wonderful place to live!

I'm sorry to say, but things have not at all gotten better. Just last weekend, we arrived home around midnight to find two people laying on the floor in front of the first floor elevators engaging in very inappropriate behavior. At first, we thought someone was resuscitating another person, but once we got closer, we found out that was not at all the case. And this is the elevators right by the lobby...ridiculous. It felt like we were living in a college dorm (but worse).
Unfortunately, for as nice as the front desk people try to be, they are completely incompetent. They have lost several items we have had shipped to our address as well as countless other things from residents in the building.
As for the management, they remain incompetent as well. And there have just been notices posted in the building that seem to indicate the building is for sale, but the leasing staff has not given the residents any useful information. It's basically just a legal document saying that the building is for sale for 100,000,000 dollars. What does that mean for the residents living there now?
The noise level for apartments facing the courtyard has gotten better since summer is over and fewer residents are using the pool. That's the only plus I can see regarding your questions.
All in all, I would say stay away. There are too many choices in Chinatown now to waste your money on this place.
