Pros:
The front desk staff is very welcoming and friendly, and that's a huge factor for me when it comes to selecting where I am going to live. I've had to contact them once to change a light bulb, and someone came right away to fix it.I've never had a problem with bugs, but I also live on the higher floors, so that makes a difference.Also, I dont hear my neighbors, the walls provide good sound insulation.

Secondly, the size is great and location is convenient. Its within walking distance to the metro ( for those that are carless), near the restaurants at Gallery place, and w/in walking distance to the south side of Dupont Circle. I've looked at many other places in DC going in the same price range as Mass. House, and they were either too far away from the metro, or way too small. It's also very convenient to the National Airport, which works out great for those who travel or have out of town visitors.

Cons: The kitchen and bathroom appliances are older, the countertops could be updated, but for the rent, its minor. Also, the fire station is across the street, so although I live on a high floor and there are days I work from home, the firetruck sirens are annoying, but seem to occur mostly during the daytime, in my experience.

Overall, its a great deal--its not luxurious, but you get a lot for what you pay. Also, you get the lounges and restaurants on K street, but you also have to deal with the homeless people in the park-- part of city living, I guess. As a female, I tend to avoid the park at night, but other than that, I dont have much to complain about
