I've been here nearly 18 months, and the only thing that keeps me here is the fact that I signed a lease extension. I can't stand it here anymore. The first few months were fine. Everything was new, and the building had low occupancy. Now, it's more like a dormitory than a luxury apartment building. The age of the building is starting to show. The appliances were never "luxury" but after 18 months, they're starting to break down. The Concierge/Doorman service is a joke. Some of the people are great, but the turnover is very high, and some of the people we get are just plain awful. The garbage always backs up on weekends, and smells terrible. I'm not that close to the garbage shoot, and I can smell it. Parking is a nightmare. For most of my time here, anyone could pull in and park if the door was open. Management didn't enforce parking at all. They've started making a token effort at parking enforcement, but it's too little too late. I have always paid for my space, and I still occasionally get an "Illegally Parked" sticker on my car, even with the parking permit placed right in plain view.

In short, I can't wait to leave.

In the last three months, I've seen four new people at the front desk. You need to get out of your office (I mean apartment) more princess. When the fire alarm rings from 5am to 4pm and no one knows how to shut it off or at least reset it or bypass the alarm once the trouble is located and deamed to be of no risk (frozen sprinkler pipe burst), kind of makes your home unlivable on a day when the temperatures outside are 20 degrees. Service is not at the top of the list with this company. The last two new doormen make you feel like it was a huge effort for them to even look up and acknowledge you when you greet them with hello. I'm so happy that my lease is up soon.

Unhap, again, "Princess Eczema" is a leasing agent, and the only trash anyone smells is her when she arrives to work in the morning.

I've been here since May 2004 and I've never had any problems with anybody who works here. Kevin, at the concierge desk, has been here since I moved in, knows my name, lets me know if packages have arrived for me, and has never been anything but helpful. There are more than a couple newer people, but they all seem nice enough. The doormen are older guys who don't generally leap up to open the door (which I wouldn't expect from anyone), but I think they've always been friendly. The maintenance guys are very nice, get the job done, and say hi when I happen to see them. The fire alarm did go off late at night once when I first lived here, and it was on quite awhile, but things like that happen now and then no matter where you live. Deal with it. I've never noticed a garbage backup - but if you lived on the 2nd or 3rd floor maybe it would be more of a problem, I don't know. All of my appliances still look (except the stove burners) and work like new, and I use them plenty. I don't know what kind of fancy schools people went to who are comparing this place to a dormitory, but it's a far cry from the schoolroom tile floor, concrete block, communal bathroom dorm of the public university I attended. If you clean up after yourself and don't live like an animal, the apartments stay pretty nice. And please, this building doesn't have that many leasing agents.

Moreso, just because you guys have negative experiences doesn't make me assume you are from competing buildings writing with an ulterior motive. I just assume you had negative experiences and want to warn people. I'm just providing what my positive experience was-doesn't mean I'm on payroll. I'm just trying to warn people too--I almost didn't move in because there were negative reviews here and not many positive, so I assumed that was everyone's experience, but luckily I have ended up with a good experience.
