Great Deal for Location

I am also a young working professional living in the Miramar. I found the Miramar though a friend who has two other friends living in the Miramar and had no real complaints.
I have had a very positive experience at the Miramar. If you're looking for a studio with a good location and very reasonable rent, the Miramar is great. My unit is almost 400 square feet with a kitchen and full bathroom. There are hardwood floors, a ceiling fan and an A/C unit as well. Heat and water are included in the rent and I pay little for gas and electric (maybe $20 a month combined'). Also included in the rent is a fitness center and a business center with Internet.
My unit was renovated when I moved in (the current management is trying to improve its reputation) and I've had no problems with pests or anything since I've moved in. My floor is pretty quiet and I would say overall it's a quiet building. I haven't had any problems with the management and sorry to hear the other post about Kier because he's actually been very nice to me. I asked for a bike key the day before Christmas and he put the key under my door before he left even though the office was closing early.
The location is also absolutely amazing, close to everything - Whole Foods, Safeway, 2 metros (Dupont and McPherson) and the major bus routes. But the best part is the proximity to U St, Adams Morgan, and Dupont/Logan.
As far as downsides go, I would say the kitchens could be improved. There is basically only enough room to stand and the kitchen overall is quite compact. I've baked pies and a Xmas dinner and everything so you can definitely use it but you have to move stuff around a bit. There is also no garbage disposal or dishwasher.
Though I've never had packages delivered by FedEx, I would imagine package service is a little difficult because I see lots of slips on people's mailboxes.
Overall, it's a cozy/safe place to live!
