Mount Vernon Plaza Apartments

Generally OK, but lacking in a few key places From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/27/2005 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005   Carol in the leasing office and --- the assistant manager are wonderful. So nice and helpful. The general manager- Sherry- is completely awful. I had a fairly major problem that she refused to deal with until I threatened to call a lawyer to deal with it. When I went to talk to her about it and tell her that the problem was not fixed, she rolled her eyes at me. In general, maintenance takes more time than is really acceptable to fix problems. They have rather ridiculous rules about moving stuff in- you have to use the "freight elevator" which is really just one of the normal elevators that they lock for you to use. And they will yell at you sometimes for taking boxes in through the lobby, but then make it extremely difficult to do things the "proper" way. But it is a good value for the location and amenities. But you should be wary of the service that is lacking. And expect what you pay for.
