While the location is ideal, all of the above make Newport West the place that I cannot wait to abandon come the end of my year-long lease. When we first reported the mouse problem, we were told that our apartment had never had rodent problems before and therefore, it must be our fault. Maintenance said the person living here before us never cooked so there were no problems. I'm sorry I use the kitchen.
Likewise, the roach problem continues, and the leaking floor is the latest in the series. I doubt it will be fixed and I wouldn't be all too surprised to find that as a result, we're breathing in mold and asbestos. We'll see how they respond...

This is what to expect in Gelman Management buildings. Here at Gelmarc Towers, we're basically expected not to use our kitchens either. Since we don't have dishwashers, I've been living off paper plates and plasticware for the past year. Washing dishes is impossible. Cockroaches are everywhere. It's sad that Gelman has become such slumlords; their apartments are in such good locations.
