Oak Park is the ghetto. They take your money and do not make repairs. Property is run down and management refuses to improve it. Moving in low-income tenants with government assistance and forcing working class out. They do not care about residents at all. Drugs everywhere, pitbulls, drag racing, etc. Not recommended for anyone with morals. Lived there and could not wait to get out. If you care about yourself and your family - do not move here.

Hello viewers, I am the ANC Commissioner of the community and I am also a resident at Oak Park. There are major issues there and I am addressing those issues. 1. I have been working with MPD and will be having foot patrol officers in the community with in the next month or two. 2. I am currently working with DDOT and will be moving on having speed tables in the streets of Ivanhoe, Irvington and Joliet to slow down speeders. 3, Oak Park meetings are every 3rd Thursday of the month and I can't address every issue if the tenants are not attending the meeting. 4. I have sent the Health Department to Novo about the filthy swimming pool and they are now in a 45 day time frame to clean out the pool. As I address these issues, I can only address what I see. I can't help tenants if they are not attending the meetings. Rain, snow or shine, I put these flyers out on everyone's door in Oak park and is getting the same faces every month in attendance. I have very important guest showing at these meetings including the District Attorney's office, People from the Mayor's office, councilmembers, DDOT, Office of Community Planners and MPD just to name a few. Also you can bring your issues to a higher level by attending the ANC meetings at Hadley Memorial Hospital every 4th Thursday of the month. My point is, there are plenty of help right next door to everyone but they go the wrong way about trying to get their issues resolved. I can be reached at 202.905.6801 and you may call me anytime. I am a fire shooter and I fight for my constituents. Just be patient and have faith in me as your ANC commissioner. Things are starting to get done in out community and I will not rest until I know we're all happy.
