Oxford Manor is definitely not your premiere or luxury apartment community, however, it's panaromic views of the city and large apartments make you think twice. This complex has deteriorated immensely over the last few years. Largely because of a reduction in maintenance and upkeep costs by the property manager and disrespectful tenants. For the most part, this is a community of law abiding, decent and good people. Unfortunately, there are a few who have no respect for property or peace. The management company has done a poor job of restoring this property to its former glory. The BIGGEST problem are the mice, which run rampant. They are Oxford Manor's biggest nonpaying tenants. In addition, maintenance is poor. If you are mechanically inclined and patient, OM might serve you well. This entire community is changing. The proximity to the Anacostia Metro and major access points (Suitland Parkway, 295 and 395) is a commuter's dream. With the expansion and renovation of the Anacostia waterfront, this will be prime real estate in a few years.
