Meh

I lived at the Post when I first moved to DC. Yeah, the location was great, but considering what they were asking for rent, the apartments were great. As someone mentioned, the materials were pretty shoddy (cabinets, carpet, etc). The apartments are not large - I lived in a 2br and it couldn't have been more than 650 sq feet. When I looked into moving into a studio, I just laughed that they were asking (at that time) $1400 for a 375 sq foot studio PLUS a huge amenities fee PLUS all your own utilities. Management was "meh", they didn't care that I was living there and just saw me through paper work.
Yes, the roof top is great. But you don't get even CLOSE to what you're paying for there. And it's funny because often I'll look at apartment listings on craigslist and they are posting...must be having trouble asking those prices. I moved, and now pay 1/2 what the post was asking, no utilities, and have 1200 sq feet. I think the fact that people are williing to pay that much when they could just get a mortgage is kind of a joke.
Don't live there thinking you'll get luxury beyond some free bagels, a few TVs in the average gym, and a 3ft deep roof top pool.
