After reading some of the reviews, I had to pipe in. I lived here for a year and not once did I see a roach !!! My job unfortunately transferred me out of the Washington area or I would have stayed. I have since come back to DC, but there wasn't an apartment available at the Promenade at the time and had to settle for a place in Crystal City. The rent at the Promenade is very fair. I now pay $400/mo more and have to walk further to the Metro and I do not have a view. The view from the Promenade is exquisite to say the least. 4th of July is grand, being able to see all the fireworks all over the DC area. The management was really friendly and accomodating, and I practically furnished my apartment from the trash room. You would not believe all the great, in perfect condition things people discarded when they moved out every month. Everything is so close and accessible. I loved it there and would be back there in a flash.
