I don't know who wrote the previous reviews about the new appliances and excellent grounds or the cooperative leasing office - but that's bullsh#t! The laundry rooms are filthy, anyone can come and go in the buildings, there is no regular maintenance of the buildings. The area people get off the bus and enter the pool all summer long...no one knows who the lifeguard is. The rent is ridiculously overpriced. In the summer months one room is cool and the other is the same degree as outside. In the winter months one room is room temperature and the others are freezing...so unless you want to sleep in the kitchen area you will either be hot or cold. There is no in between. Sign your lease at your own risk!!! Read your lease agreement very thoroughly. There are mice, spiders and numerous amounts of other species in each unit...so u have a variety to choose from. Once again be for warned there are mice and plenty of them. Everyone on the property is related to or sleeping with the property supervisor in the rental office so please whatever you do dont complain to her or her marijuana filled, alcoholic, dirty maintenance workers. Oh!!! did I forget to mention the maintenance staff are profesionl thieves who steal anything thats not nailed down when entering your units.

I cannot relate to your comments above. I moved into my unit around the end of 2005 beginning 2006. Upon moving in EVERYTHING was brand new. I have seen some rodents outside but not inside. They have an exterminator that can come by to spray every Friday. If you have rodent/mice issues, I suggest you contact them for an appt or keep a clean apt. DC is dirty everywhere. Its up to you to keep the trash outside or street visitors (rodents) will gladly keep you company. I am in a 2 Bed, 1 Bath and paying $813.00 in DC, right by the Bus which is a 5-10 min ride to the metro...that is NOT overpriced. Plus there's parking. I am not related to the property manager nor have I slept with her. To indicate all have slept with her would also include yourself, so ....yeah. I am not being mean, just truthful. I have never had anything stolen out of my apartment. I never hesitate to contact the rental office if I need some help in my apartment. Rivehill is a great community to live in.
