A park bench in Du Pont would be better

I lived in the Savoy for a year.

It was singularly the worst living experience I have had.

It was unbearably noisy.

There are two massive construction projects going on, one adjacent to the building, about 10 feet from the east side of the building, and one across the street on the west side.

The construction was annoying, but the people screaming in the halls and slamming doors ALL NIGHT was just intolerable.

I complained every day for the better part of the year, but no one would help.

I even called the police a total of 15 times!!! There was nothing but GWU students who do nothing but party 3 nights a week.

The management wouldnt even ask them to be quiet, they didnt even try to help.

I honestly didnt get a single decent night's sleep the entire time I was there.

Also, there was NO air conditioning or heating.

It was constantly either too cold, or way too hot.

This would be the last place in DC that I would recommend.

Should do all that you can to avoid it.

There are no redeeming qualities about the place.

Additionally, there were several thefts and police reports.

NOT A SAFE PLACE

Not a safe place? Hah, this review is a joke...The building is the best location in the city

the location might be good, but that doesnt make it safe, its still in DC. Just ask the management how many times apartments were broken into, or how many cars were robbed from the parking lot. I saw a car there just about two months ago that had had two tires stolen from it. There are supposed to be security there, but someone had two tires stolen from right off his car right in front of the building. Although the surrounding streets might be safer than other areas in DC, its not a safe place.
