All I can say is that the upper management team at the Savoy is appalling. I have had non-stop problems at this building. I live on the 10th floor (although the top floor far from a penthouse level by any means) and I find myself having to use the stairs often because the elevators in this building, which appear to be from the 1600s, don t work on a consistent basis. I am extremely clean person that was lets just say pissed off to find out that along with loud college kids that smoke cigarettes in the hallways, almost every type of insect calls the Savoy home. As far as the water pips are concerned, don t expect water-pray for it. I was recently confronted by a member of Gelman Management and told that he did not appreciate my posts on this site. This is my first and last post. My suggestion to the Gelman Company is to start fixing up the building if they want people to stop complaining.

Stay on topic. The point of this site is to review the building not make comments like the one above. For the age of the property, it functions well and the property management respond as well as they can. If you have lived in any other properties, you will know this to be true.

What do you mean by 'age of the property'? How old is the Savoy? 30 years old? That remark is irrelevant anyways. My mothers house in North Carolina is 100 years old and in better condition than the Savoy. Also the Management company harrassing tenants not to post is sad - what happened to freedom of speech? If they don't want people to post, they should take better care of the Savoy. Renting at the Savoy is not cheap.

I love the management comments, they are full of crap. I agree with the renter on the 10th floor. I have lived in other bldgs in dc with much better management, i should never have moved here, but fortunatly im moving out. Btw, i love how they confronted you, thats a load of crap

I disagree with you all..I'm a GW student, i DONT work for management (or particularly like them, because, they are management), but the building is fine...look at what you pay per month, and tell me somewhere else you can pay that, have a rooftop pool, balcony, and be in the best location in the City...stop bitching like rich spoiled brats.
