Great building - friendly, young residents - Be prepared for the NOISE of Conn Ave!

I lived here for 5 years in two seperate apartments. This is a beautiful building. The lobby is the best in the city. The rooms are huge - what would be considered a "pre-war" building in Manhattan. 24 hour doorman - who sometimes is asleep if you come in after midnight.
Some residents had trouble with maintenance - I never had a problem.
Some apartments have trouble with huge roaches in the summer - there is a sewer pipe with an entrance in the driveway.
If you are facing the front, BE PREPARED FOR STREET NOISE! The windows are old and do not stop the noise from Connecticut Avenue. An rush hour begins at 700am. Honestly, the noise will wake up all night long.
With all that said, I would still be there if I hadn't found a condo to buy!
