Funny how all the negative reviews sound like they were written by the same person...

I moved into the Chastleton just over two months ago. We chose the Chastleton because it was recommended to us by some friends, and although it can be hard to get a room there we found the office Staff to be both professional and caring - not the status quo in DC (but be sure to ask for Jean). The building itself is well maintained and I have no idea what people are talking about with the rats - I've never seen a single one, although I guess it isn't uncommon in this city.

The neighborhood is really perfect; it is well-lit, and because it's in the --- neighborhood it is safe, trendy and has good (and sometimes affordable) restaurants. The apartment itself is really a great size, and most sides of the building offer views of some of our equally beautiful neighboring buildings. The apartments are clean, have thick walls and new appliances in the kitchens. It's a really fun place to call home, and I look forward to extending my lease.
