good location, bad resident relations

I lived in the Chastleton from Aug. '02 to Aug. '03. Many a fabulous time were had there by my roomate and I. However we did have a rat in the apt, which was apparently not cause for emergency maintenance/an exterminator to be called, forcing us to flee to a friends at 12:30am. The buildings idea of "extermination" was to put rat traps w/ chicken nuggets from McDonald's on them in the maintenance closet. They were quick to patch up the holes left by our ratty friend, however, any other repairs that needed to be made (kitchen drawer, things falling apart in bathroom) were ignored for the next 6 months. Additionally, we had an infestation of very large (ie so big you could see their striped bodies) flies 3 days before we moved out that required us to spend 2 hours killing them (there were about 20). Despite the fact I moved out 2 months ago, the Chastleton saga continues. I had my mail fowarded to my new apt, yet I have received none of it. I am trying to resolve the problem with the postal service. In the mean time, my security deposit check is lost with this mail and A new check will not be cut until the original check is missing for 90 days. So I am being penalized further by the Chastleton for the idiocy of the US postal service. In addition, the ass't manager is the rudest, least friendly woman in the world. Not a great person to have running your resident relations office. I will say, however, that my experience in talking to others is that no one's resident relations office is anything to write home about. So as for the Chastleton, great location. Pest problems and poor resident relations.
