Moved in Fall of 2003 but LOVED IT

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
The location is KEY KEY KEY. Very close to the Van Ness station, Safeway and some local restaurants. 1 stop from Cleveland Park.
The building was always clean. Business Center onsite. Dry Cleaning drop-off/pick-up from Front Desk.
Security: Front Desk did not EVER let anyone in w/o specific authorization. I felt VERY safe there! Even during the Sniper incident, and walking thru the parking garage at night.
Only problem#1 was when my cat had an accident and they called ACS vs me. She ended up being Euthenized before they told me they had called to pick her up. When I asked WHY didn't they call me - I was told they didn't know which she belonged to. Then WHY, I asked, did you have me fill out a form describing in DETAIL my pet if you don't refer to your own records!
Other problem#2 was construction. The windows are only single pane and during the winter the drafts are HORRIBLE (I faced due South towards the monuments). You have to get plastic sheeting to block them during the cold months or your Pepco Bill will be astronomical!
Otherwise, back then (archstone props) great place to live. Even if it is pricey (i also paid parking, storage & pet rent) but still in line w/ the neighborhood.
