I moved into this building because I was in a bind and my roommate and I needed a new place fast. There was a free month of rent special and an open apartment so we took the bait. Our apartment itself would be ok, but the water is shut off about once or twice a week and the kitchens have metal counter tops and cabinets and are impossible to keep clean, not to mention extremely ugly. The elevators are slow and old and out of service from time to time. Each floor has its own distinct and nasty smell because the carpet in the hallway hasn't been changed probably since the building was built (we got the joy of the curry and mothball scented floor). Maintenance is horrible, rent gets sent to a PO box so you never really know if it will get there on time (late fees are INSANE)and there are a ton of loud kids. Looking forward to the end of my lease!

May be they are listening to you, they changed the carpeting throughout all the corridors in the building.
