My fiance and I have lived in here for 4 years.

The building is beautiful, although the most recent renovation to the hall way could have being better. Nevertheless, it is always nice and clean including the laundry room and the trash room. There is also access to the roof deck currently in renovation.

The apartment has a one bedroom, wooden floors, high ceiling and generos windows. We don't have enough storage room, but the bedroom size allows for wardrobs with out a problem. Our kitchen is some what small, but the big window compensates compensates for it. It is a cozy apartment at the 7th floor even though we don't get to much of a view since we are facing away the main street of Columbia Rd. However, this location protects us from the noise.

The staff service is friendly and courteous. However, the building manger Curtis Felton can be a friendly individual at the beginning, but more often, he can be unprofessional and highly rod . He was on provession once. You can file your anonymous complains at the Norwood's Tenant Association. They can make your complains heard.

The location is perfect since we are at the heart of Adams Morgan across Kalorama Park and at a walking distance to Dupont Circle and Mountain Pleasant. Adams Morgan is a very nice neighborhood. Just around the block, there are lots of small nice stores for groceries, dry cleaning, wines, for movie rental among many restaurants. We're one block from 18th St which becomes a party street on Friday and Saturday night. On Saturday's mornings, we have a local farmers market except on winter.

With respect of parking, I know the waiting list for the parking access is long. I used to park my car on the street. I was able to find a spot always, but many time it was hard. You can relay on public transportation which I do now that I have donated my car. In 15 min walk, you can reach two metro station on the red line: "Dupont Circle" and "Woodly Park" and we have the 42 and 43 buses that will take you to the metro station and many other connections. By the way, The Norwood has a secure space available at the basement for bicycles.

I'm originally from Mexico City and migrated to California (Newport Beach, Los Angeles) before I came to DC. I find the west coast a much nicer place to live, but I very much enjoy living in Adams Morgan and The Norwood. If it wouldn't be for the winter and so far away from Mexico, I think I would have like to live here permanently.
