Loved the Preston

I spent a couple of weeks dashing around trying to find an apartment that met all my expectations. The Preston was a perfect fit. The rent was affordable -- for Washington, D.C. The neighborhood was fantastic. The apartment had all the things I wanted -- washer and dryer in unit, air conditioning and well taken care of.
The apartment building is ideally located right next to the DuPont Circle metro and several bus lines. It has been so easy to get around the city from this location. Also, there is so many restaurants, bars, museums and other cultural centers right by the building as well. You never need to travel far to find something to do.
There are several other large apartment buildings on the same block. The Preston is by the best one of the bunch. It is best taken care of without a doubt. My property manager was incredibly responsive if I ever had a problem. She was endlessly cordial and professional. She was always helpful -- which cannot be said for many other property managers.
The building itself is great. There's no elevator -- but that was never a problem with me. Not much parking -- but it's difficult to find parking everywhere in Washington. My apartment had a brand new kitchen -- with beautiful counters and great appliances. They have a washer and dryer unit in each apartment, which is a godsend! My apartment space was wonderful as well. Despite living in a basement unit, there was lots of light.
I could not have been happier with my experience at the Preston and would recommend it to anyone!
