I wrote a milder review about a year ago...but now have come to the conclusion that this place is a terrible dump! Stay away. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong here !!!! From cat calls, to strangers knocking on your door at 2 am to a 6-month long bedbug infestation! Yes....bedbugs and roaches ....

the building reeks of trash and chemicals. the garage gets flooded. the elevators break. and there's a huge bug problem. plus they don't do anything about it. can't wait to get out!!!!!!!

All true, all true...this place is depressing!!!! It's 100% substandart living. And it's not because of the people that live here (as some biased posts have indicated); it's because the management DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN and the building is sooooo old that at this point, it needs to be demolished. Well...there are some shady individuals and saw a guy chasing someone with a butcher knife. But mostly, I got beef with the BEDBUGS and the ROACHES.

Crime is increasingly prevalent at the Woodner. Just recently, police officers were called to the Woodner Apartments, at about 11:45 a.m. and found the body of a Latino man, who was in his late 40s or early 50s, in an apartment on the seventh floor. The death is being investigated as a homicide pending a report from the medical examiner's office. Police did not initially say how the man died, other than he had traumatic injuries. His name has not yet been released. Police said they do not believe the victim was targeted at random. Do you still want to rent here?

The only thing that you guys forgot was the fact that you don't have hot water during the entire winter when you're getting ready for work. If you wake up and try to get in the shower later than 7:01 am.... you'll get a RUDE awaking... luke warm maybe but probably cold water. I reported it twice and TWICE they had the nerve to come up and try the water during THE DAY and say that nothing is wrong. DUH! No one else is taking a shower then... hot water is a must if you're paying for it.

The lack of hot water just drives me nuts. It's also a violation of landlord/tenant law. I HATE not having hot water. I could move to a Third World country, which would be a lot cheaper than the rent here.
