Woodner is alright especially for students, practical people and non-whiners. For it's cost, it's liveable (sepecially now that the economy is not that great). Problem is people want to live and be treated like royalty. If you want that, go to San Diego or San Francisco. Ok, for the serious part. I get parking at the basement for $120/month for security purposes (and protects my car from the elements). Noise is minimal. Sometimes they do check the fire alarms so it's quite annoying. But there are announcements if thy're going to do it. So you are forewarned. If somebody makes a noise, you can always call the front desk and it will be dealt with quickly. They keep the grounds as clean as possible. Once your in the building, I feel safe because there are security roaming around the building. The building is old but then again, it's liveable. I am impressed with maintenance. They come ASAP. Staff tries to accommodate all of your concerns. About the roaches and other bugs. Obviously, throw your trash everyday. I do this and I don't see bugs in my room. Also, I wish they keep the gym opened 24hours cause it closes at 2300. I tried to be as truthful as I could. Hope this review helps. With this review, Woodner should pay me. Just kidding. It's plain truth.

Yes, The Woodner is better than living on the street. That said, DC has a housing code, and The Woodner falls far short of meeting those standards. If you say that throwing trash out every day prevents roaches and other bugs, then you are clearly a management lacky and probably already have been paid by the management. You're just plain wrong.
