So far I have been living here for approximately 8 months and I am very satisfied with everything so far. The metro is a few blocks away and the bus stop that takes you to different places downtown is in front of the building. But what I love most is that inside the building there is a convenient store and dry cleaners. I don't have to go far to drop my dresses off at the cleaners or buy little late night snacks. The staff are charming and always willing to help. In my opinion, the Woodner is definitely recommendable.

Okay, I am not one to point out at every positive post that the management must have put it up. But the last three posts for the Woodner have been very positive (unusual for the place) and have mentioned the same four attributes (dry cleaner, store, metro, management). They also seem to respond directly to the comments the previous posts received (i.e. the previous comment said wait until 5 months pass...and this post says the person's been there for 8 months). I did live in the Woodner for two years. It was fine. There were bugs...bed bugs and roaches. There were tons of wonderful and interesting people...but there were a lot of drug deals going down and a guy got murdered down the hall from me. Metro is close. Bus is close. Price is awesome. Never had a problem with management or maintenance. However, the management is definitely boosting their apartment ratings bottom line with the previous 3-4 posts. No wonder no one can ever put something positive up about this place without attacks from people saying it's the management.

Wow!!! Okay, I lived there from February 2008 - May 2009. Very convenient features such as: Cleaners, store, video store, shuttle bus and a bus that run constantly. Great 24 hour security staff; some times annoying, lol! Most importantly for me back then; utilities included and $825.00 in rent. Great location and I would move there again if forced to. Nevertheless, your days of dancing in your 16th Street flat like Ginger Rogers will at some point come to a tragic end. You will part-take in a day 2 day bloodbath with killing roaches. I kept my unit clean; but every single time I came in there were several roaches present. I killed any where in the area 10 roaches daily. The Woodner roaches are amazing actually. Lightning quick!!!! Advice: Hire your own exterminator; because who every they're using, they aren't getting the job done.

I believe that the company they use is actually an in-house opperation. I agree that these rare posts are being put up my management -- they are all from the same time frame (just days or weeks apart) and in context of everything, seem out of place.
