Overall, I've really enjoyed living here for the past 2 years. The building is very nice and has lots of amenities. They recently renovated the exercise room and common areas, and are renovating the pool. My 1 BR apartment is also pretty nice: lots of closets, renovated kitchen with dishwasher, parquet floors. It is also a very convenient location: very close to metro, supermarket, dry cleaners, drugstore, liquor store, short walk to restaurants, etc. The building's non-management staff are also generally very friendly, polite and helpful. However, the management staff/Charles E. Smith are extremely unhelpful, misleading, impolite, and unprofessional. I don't know if it is Charles E. Smith's policy, or if the management staff of this building are incompetent, but they are very difficult to work with and rarely provide any information requested by tenants.
