A Bit Slummy From: ex_valdez Date posted: 6/27/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   The appearance of the building is a bit slummy. The carpet in the halls and common areas looks like it has been water damaged, and looks ratty on every floor. There are no washers and dryers in the units, and the machines in the laundry room charge $1.50 per load. The air conditioner makes a terrible racket. A lot of the office workers are temps, and there seems to be a new one every day. You have to get used to the phrase "I don't know, I'm just a temp" whenever you bring a question or problem to the building office. They can't even get the free coffee right. They offer free coffee in the lobby, but there is usually no coffee available. I don't know if all of the Smith company apartments are run this poorly, but I will certainly avoid renting from them in the future.
