I came to DC looking for an apartment as I am relocating. I was looking for a one-bedroom and told the management that. They said they had one for $1400, but there was only one available and I should take it. I saw the apartment and liked it. The next day when I came back to fill out the application they told me it was $1600.I was really shocked and told the leasing agent that she had told me it was $1400. I even showed her the brochure on which she had handwritten exactly that. I even spoke to the manager, who by the way is really obnoxious and must have pulled some strings to become a manager because I can't see her becoming a manager any other way. She basically dismissed me even though I showed her the handwritten note on my brochure and their information sheet which clearly states that one-bedrooms are $1150-1550. Needless to say, I didn't lease with them because if I had that much trouble with them before I even signed a lease I can only imagine them afterwards....HORRIBLE!!!!!
