The community is extremely charming, I will give it that. It basically starts to wear off teh day you move in because you are not allowed to bring a rental truck into the courtyard, you must move from the street (Good luck getting a uhaul into a DC parking space). Any service issue that I have had ranging from light bulbs burning out, to the most recent my screen door flying off and leaving behind twisted shrapnel, has been taken in stride as an issue I created. ---- ------ (---- is not her real first name by the way) has been nothing but rude to any tenant I've seen take an issue to her, so it's good to know that I'm not the only one she despises. I have moved from a one bedroom all the way into a townhouse at this property and just like my square footage, the issues intensify. My screen door is currently laying across my garden because the service crew dismissed it as somethign to handle the next day because it happened after lunch. I am extemely saddened by my experiences with some of my neighbors as well as with the people who are in charge. I would recommend not moving here. I have seen the rents jump sky high on newly available apartments because of the amount of people who are rent controlled in the building. Please follow my advice as someone who is moving out of Waterside Towers, save your self and RUN!
