The garden style section of this apartment community is not as appealing as the high rise- thin floors/walls, a fair amount of ghetto residents- always fighting, blasting music, and calling police; there are also major security issues. The community manager sucks, but other staff are very nice.

I don't know where queenbdc lives, but it surely can't be Waterside Towers! This writer's description is as different as night and day from the reality of Waterside Towers where I have lived for 30-plus years. Waterside Towers is safe, quiet, and well-managed, and filled with kind, caring, neighborly residents. Over the years, our residents have included distinguished ambassadors, many attorneys, federal and local government professionals, actors performing at the nearby Atlas Theater, and just plain folks who enjoy living here. Security cameras have been in place for many years, and in my three decades here, there has never been drug activity or prostitution in the complex.

I agree completely with MargaretGentry. (I live in Building B - it's great, including the tenants!). I don't know what QueenBee is talking about.

I live in the garden style building now. Management does not notify everybody when things happen. Most people in the towers are great.. older, mature nice people. The garden style apartments, while cute, are like a dift world. If you live in the Towers you have no clue about the other part of the community. I will also agree that many of the general office staff and maintenance staff are very nice and helpful, but the manager is not.

Margaret Gentry you are soo oblivious to what goes on in the garden style apts. I have lived there for a few years and am trying to leave. She is very correct, terribly thin walls, and floors, and during the late late late and even later hours of the night there are very ghetto residents who fight(i have seen one get punched and knocked to the ground) i hear the clacking of people playing dice, drinking smoking weed and arguing with each other and other tenants who tell them to be quiet. There is the terrible smoking of cigarettes at all times that comes into every apartment in the building so we will all die sooner with inhaling their freaking second hand smoke. I cannot believe these people get to be rude and disrespectful to a whole block. they also bother the courtyard area and its home owners with all of their loud loud loud foolishness. IT IS ABSUSRD! and now unbearable for me to take anymore. love this neighborhood but can no longer take this crazy place! whatever it feels like in the actual towers i believe but sweetheart this is a different world, and like she said extra ghetto people!

All:
I am considering moving to Waterside Towers in November 2009. Can someone give me an update on your current rental experience at Waterside and also can you give me an idea of what I can expect for annual rental increases? Thanks.
