Okay, now let's talk about the REALITY ABOUT, not the ADVERTISEMENT FOR, the ghetto slum building that is Westpark. First of all, don't plan on having plants, because your apartment will never receive any kind of sunlight. Believe it or not, it's like this on the South side of the building, too, because other large buildings block all light. The result of this lack of light is -- you guessed it -- lots and lots of mold and mildew. Dehumidiers don't even prevent the growth of mold in this dungeon. Also, be prepared to be really depressed when you review the units. The lobby is all nice and marble and cheerful, but the first clue that this building is from hunger is when you step on the 1"x2" elevator. Don't even think of carrying any kinds of packages on those teensy weensy lifts. On that note, you better adore your neighbors, because you will literally touch them each time one or more of them is in the elevator with you, and you will hear every conversation they have (due to paper thin walls) and smell every funky cooking odor/cigarette smoke odor they have in their apartments just as if it was in your own apartment. Did I mention you should love bugs, too' True dat. Roaches galore abound in this shangrila. So if you never plan on being home and use this as a place to crash only, be my guest. As for me, I'm outtie to more civilized digs. If I wanted to live in a third-world enivornment I would expect to pay third-world prices.
