After living at this location for a while, I am starting to see some good come out. Before there was this crack head manager who would never take a concern serious. The apartment's that I were shown looked like a tacky mess.

Now, The Resident Manager "Mia" is what I call a Resident Manager. She listens to my concern's takes care of an issues needed and is overall excellent.
My apartment is rodent free and I am very pleased with the coming along of the renovations.
I look forward to living here.

I moved in the 8-story William Penn Apartment in 2008, and to my best knowledge, Mia (the resident manager) is goind a great job and the whole apartment building is going to complete the renovation phase, both of which are good news and a big plus for people looking for an apartment in the Dupont Circle and Woodley Park-Zoo areas. Now only the 8th floor has not been renovated. There are no gym, no swimming pool, and some limited parking space in the basement. However, I think it is acceptable for a medium-size (about 60-70 apartment units) apartment building located in (or near) downtown Washington, DC. The neighborhood is pretty nice and decent. You feel very safe here because lots of foreign embassies are around this area and because the residents are mostly well-to-do. By foot, about 5 minutes one can get to the bus stop (Route #42, a very frequent line to Mount Pleasant and downtown Washington) on Connecticut Avenue near the Hilton Hotel Washington; about 10 minutes one can reach the Dupont Circle metro station (Red Line). Near the bus stop, there is a Rite Aid. A bloc farther from Rite Aid, there is a Safeway that might have sold things at prices a couple of dimes higher than their "normal" prices. Overall, this apartment has a good location and a reliable management. I am satisfied with the progress it is making.
