I am a 23 year old female and I have lived here for nearly 2 years and I have no MAJOR complaints.
* The rental office is satisfactory
* The area is well kept and not too bad, considering it is SE, DC
* Very affordable
* Securred entry with intercoms
* Quiet on the Livingston Rd side and patrolled periodically by DC police
* Nice neighbors
There are a few disadvantages or concerns....
* Management regulates the heat and the apartment is never warm (invest in space heaters)
* The trash cans are located about a block and a half away
* We had a problem with mice until we got a cat (the rental office did provide traps)
* The apartment is small and basic (no carpet, no central heat/AC, no dishwasher, limited closet space)
Overall, it is a nice BASIC apartment and the concerns that do exist are not unbearable. I do plan on relocating within the next 6 months because I am ready for more space and amenities. GREAT FIRST APARTMENT!!!!

I just moved here 3 months ago, and I have to agree with the comment for "FIRST APT". It is small but renovated and the Livingston Rd side is quiet compared to 3rd Street. The neighbors are pleasant and I like the fact that we have parking on a lot. I don't plan on being here that long, but it's decent and the location and price is very convenient.
