Pretty nice place

I'm a GW student and I have lived in the York for over a year.

Considering the location, I think it's a pretty good deal for the money.

It's not a new building, so the floors are a little worn and the bathroom could use an update, but that's to be expected in this price range.

I actually think the management here is pretty good.

The maintenance guy who lives on premises is extremely nice and responds to any minor issues I have right away.

The management company is very polite and I've had no problems with them.

It's true that in the winter the building is in the 70-80's, and in the summer it feels like 60-50.

But I keep my windows open and am able to keep the room very comfortable year round.

The walls are a bit thin, but I bought some earplugs for sleeping and I only use them like once a month just to fall asleep.

It's really not a big deal.

There are trash rooms on every floor which makes taking out the trash super easy, and there is coin laundry in the basement.

I would probably stay here another year or so if only they allowed dogs! That's really the only downside to living here.

I feel like most people who are complaining expect way too much for an affordable older building.

This is a great deal.
