I have lived in Youkshire for quite sometime and i still do. What i tell about yorkshire is not a joke. The managment is so bad that it would have been better for the apartment to not have one. She prejudice against africans in general. The whole managment is made up of her family who are just like her. Disrespectful and arrogant. The roaches and the bed bugs are so terrible that i had to leave the apartment at once. Even if you tell her she tell you that the apartment has never had bed bug incidents and she tell you as if you are the one that brought it up. For the company to really attract tenants they need to do something about the managment in the apartment. And The roaches always hold a party in the faucet and refrigrator. It feels as if they rented the apartment. So, Please take my advice and go somewhere else.

I agree with this coompletely. I've had a few bad experiences with the management too. This building has a bad pest problem- there have been instances of mice running around my apt. There have been mornings when the hot water has been cut off for no reason. The heating system is a joke. There are cold days when the radiators are never turned on. I recommend people not to come here, even though it is slightly more affordable and located on 16th st.

Help -I too live at The Yorkshire and am fighting a terrible bed bud problem. I too have been told that my apartment is the only one in the building. If I want any more treatments I have to pay for them myself.DC law states that if 2 resident in the same building have a bed bugs problem, and we alert the Office of the Tenant Advocate in DC government will compel them to treat the problem until it's gone. I don't want to post personal data on the site, but I think it's important we meet. Maybe we can set up a date and time to meet in the lobby.
