I lived there for 10 years, shortly after they were built. Some great things are: 1)Sound-proofing, there REALLY has to be a racket in the apartment next to you to hear anything; 2)The athletic facilities, there is a weight-room with cardio-machines, a jacuzzi, a sauna, plus there's 2 tennis courts,an outdoor swimming pool, and a hill to sled ride down; 3) Available parking for your guests, tons and tons, 4)Proximity to shopping - 3 different strip malls with grocery stores within 2 miles, the Christiana Mall is less than 5 miles away, 5)The public library is less than 2 miles away, 6)A water hose station to wash your car, 7)Maintenance is good and responsive, not to mention the quality of the appliance are high enough not to need work/replacement, 8) Free carpet cleanings once a year.
The not so good: 1)Route 1 was built after I moved in and the high speed traffic is very loud and ever-present, 2) Traffic jams at rush-hour to/from Wilmington are legendary - coming home you have beach traffic and Christmas shopping traffic to make things worse, 3)The views are not scenic at all -- look at your window and you see a huge parking lot or a road like Rt. 1, 4)The steps, no matter which floor you will have to deal with steps
