Things to consider

My first 6 months at CM were relatively nice.. We had a first floor 2 bedroom, 2 Bath, split.. in the 1100 building (this becomes relavent). Things were ok.. Then the heater broke in the middle of the Christmas holiday... spilling water all over the floor.. they did "fix" it... but we continued to have problems with the heat and AC until it finally, completely kicked during the huge blizzard a couple years back. After numerous calls, they finally told us to use the "emergency heat" and said they had to wait for the snow to melt to replace the unit.. that took awhile. I spent most of thise nights at my boyfriend's place... Then, my roommate's window began leaking.. and they came to patch it up.. but that wasn't the tru problem, he needed a whole wall!! Turned out the entire wall was rotted out, and my roommate's allergies kicked in when the mold began to grow. We were told they couldn't fix it, and we lived with a dehumidifier from management until my roommate couldn't take it.. his allergies were THAT bad! Fianlly, they allowed us to move into anther empty until to finish out our lease.. neither of us had anywhere to go at the time. Now, I mention we lived int he 1100 building, because not a week or so after, they rented the place out!!! I mean with the walls in the back bedroom the way there were, we actually had to throw away artwork that was hanging out that outside wall because mold grew on the back of the frames!!! They told us it was a drainage problem and they were putting in "french drains" but that wall... you could push on it and it gave way.. it's completely rotted.. so if you look at, or live in a 1st floor apt in the 1100 building.. check your walls.. and smell them too.
Aside from the mold, heater.. and leaking... we also had flooding when all the snow melted, along with many of our neighbors.. nothing was replaced.. and we got nothing off our rent.
The security gate is a joke, they let anyone work there.. and the people can't keep anything straight.. phone numbers, who the actual residents of an apt are.. and forget a guest list, you just have to call befire your friends arrive to tell the person, or it could become a fiasco.
In all, I say run.. but for the money, the space was nice for the times that were good there... I wish it was as good as it looks when you first look at them.
