When I moved in they looked really nice. Then I got the feeling of what this neighborhood was like especially, at night.
Not safe. With my job, I don't get home until 1:00 AM and I am scared to death, as a woman walking through here. When I first went to the office they really had me thinking this was a decent neighborhood. It's not and from looking on here the office has been posting most of the good reviews. If this site has become a "joke" it's due to the shifty Management posting their own reviews I have read all of them and am really disgusted. There are sonme negative reviews on every site. True, you can't make EVERYBODY happy. But most of the people here are very unhappy. People maybe stay 1 year, find out what it's really about and then leave. But the churning keeps them in business. Bad neighborhood, manager, and complex. I will not sign another lease here.

I think people who are just "strolling" the neighborhood at 1:00 AM would be rather odd. I have had 2 incidents, one where a guy asked me if I had some money I could give him, and another really drunk, who asked me if I wanted some "company". I have also seen lots of shady characters just hanging out, to answer your question.

The area is shady, and that is being nice. Perhaps the area in Europe is nicer. I just told you 2 incidents that happened to me at 12:30 AM and 1:00 AM on different days. Maybe you can go out at 3:00 AM in Europe but not in St. Andrews. As I said the area is unsafe, contrary to what the management would have you believe. and can we please keep politics out of this??? |

Hi regretall, Are you posting for the management? I have had about enough of your taunting, you obnoxious moron. I don't LIVE in one of the major cities, I live here. Apartment Management 101 the management of the apartments is responsible for keeping out "shady people" through the screening process, which obviously they haven't. Since I have no control over the people they rent to, that was one of the most moronic statements I have ever heard. Who WOULD be responsible for the people here, Peter Pan? Why don't you stop trying to make excuses for the sorry management, on every post? No one is interested in your "ghetto mentality", girlfriend. My rent pays the management to run this place, I shouldn't have to play security guard. This is an example of the neighbors you will get folks. If the management isn't in control, then why am I paying my hard-earned money to them? Peddle your BS elsewhere. |

Could't wait to play that race card could you? I have read your other posts and you have been literally dying to do just that. Since we are on a computer and none of us can see the race of another, how EXACTLY do you know what race I am? You don't. You are just making a bunch of assumptions based on your obviously limited knowledge of people. Who is the racist now? No, I am not slow, but I did manage to finish high school and from reading your writing style and your obviously "challenged" command of the English language you didn't. Now to answer your idiotic questions. The majority of people here causing the problems are white, not black. That goes for the kids, people I have seen dealing drugs, and noisy parties. The management is responsible for this neighborhood, they are the ones we pay. It is thinking like yours that makes a neighborhood go down. YOU get a clue, people do not want to live in a slum! AND you are the one yourself, who made the comment that you thought the "shady" people I was referring to were black. As I said who is the racist here? Why don't you shut up, and stop your stupid comments to every post, looking for a fight. But you have done one thing positive. These are the type of neighbors you will get. I am in the process of buying a house, and will happily leave this dump behind. I don't want perfection, just not crooked management, bad area, and idiots for neighbors like you! |

I DON"T think so. Not for what is being charged here. I shouldn't have to call the police except in extreme cases. Newsflash! The Management rents the apartments. They also have the power to non-renew leases of people who make trouble and violate the lease. The idiot here is you. That is why I think you are posting for the management. What are they supposed to do, just collect the money and do nothing? They are the entity that I pay my money to. You act like all this stuff and living in a crime-ridden neighborhood is normal. What a total jackass. |

Wow, Wow!..you know what this will be my last because your frame of mind is so far gone...to even think you would not call THE POLICE is ridiculous..your probably going to think the same way when you buy your house if there's trouble ill call my mortgage company to take care of it. And the power to re new a lease well that only happens when its up you actually need proof from the police that they are doing anything illegal, then they could maybe evict a person.

Hmmm. Experience perhaps in this aspect of renting? ie having the police called on you? No, if you had ANY idea of the landlord tenant contract and didn't come off like a complete mindless ass, you would know when you own your own home, there is no rental office or management. It is yours. When you are renting it is a completely different story. The sorry management here approves the "thugs" that are moving in. Of course the mortgage company would not be responsible for who moves in the neighborhood, but the MANAGEMENT of the apartments are! It sounds like you are one of the people that cause trouble here and make this place a slum-in-waiting. Thanks I did buy a house and won't need the sorry management or low class mentality of neighbors like you. Just because you are caught in this dump doesn't mean everyone wants to be. I think you are the one far gone, and I do think you are posting for the management. Glad to get out of here.

Retracting my original response to this post. I now agree with Bonnie as I have seen things to support her assessment of the element who lives here. I've decided I have two choices: 1. Go out and purchase some new accessories so I can fit in around here (an Allen Iverson jersey, a trucker hat to wear sideways, an Eminem CD or two, maybe some nice bling-bling medallions)... or, 2. Move. Number 2 is currently in the lead. |
