Don't get me wrong the apartments themselves are great. But the safety of the community is questionable. There have been at least 8 cars broken into in front of my apartment including my own in the past 6 months. The management does not seem to care about it at all. We wrote a letter and there response was start a town watch. my response is hire a security guard at night or gate the community. I would for go the bake sale or dance lessons at the lease center for some security. See when it comes to your money like fixing your broken car window they could car less. But the minute their money is involved they seem to care. I paid half the price of this place in Philly and hade a gated community and never felt unsafe like I do here. Its a shame because the apartments are great.

We must live in the same building. I agree, the apartments are great. The only interaction I had with management was negative, they just seemed not to be interested in my concerns. The response was laughable, start a neighborhood watch. Of course we can sit up all night and watch our cars, but we pay enough to live here that some form of security should be offered. Hire security, get a gate, care just a LITTLE bit that my car, and my poor neighbors car that has been broken into 3 TIMES is costing us lots of money to be fixed and not to mention I don't feel safe. The repetition of broken in and stolen vehicles is getting out of control. I not only worry about my car, but my safety if I were to accidentaly run into the vandals who the police say are shooting in the windows of the cars with BB guns to break the glass. When we moved in this place was advertised as a gated community, apparently they changed their mind. Because of all of the recent theft and vandalism I will be moving....soon It is a shame that the apartments are nice and manegments response to this problem in non-exsistant. It could be easily resolved but they wish to ignore this problem. I am sure there are communities that would be happy to offer safe communities to their residents for the price we pay here.

I think we do live in the same building. I would like to know what happens if you break a lease. I'm kicking myself for not moving when i had the chance. What is it going to take for a response to this problem. I moved into this place because it was advertised as a gated community.

If you break your lease, my guess is they will try to make you pay the remainder of your rent payments for the lease term. If you're serious, your best bet might be to talk to a lawyer about St. Andrews' false advertising. Maybe there is a law that says you can break a lease if you can prove there were false claims made. Lord knows these people lie thru their teeth about everything. Good luck to you. Sorry you're still stuck there, I just moved out and I'm on cloud 9.

superdave1 - Where did you move to that you are on cloud 9? We are new to the area and would like to get out, but don't know where to go. We thought this was going to be a nice place.
