Is it possible for people to complain so much' Seriously, it seems that renters feel that because they pay 1,100 per month, in turn, the leasing office should cater to their needs. Im an actual resident of St. Andrews, and I have lived in the Brighton model (apartments w/bay window) since Jan. 2006. I may admit that I have experienced a few dissapointments since living here. For example, my neighbor was playing loud music all throughout the day. I called the police on many occasions, and they told me that my neighbor could not be ticketed for the "vibrations" caused by the loud music. However, I wrote a letter to the leasing office, and they contacted my neighbor to notify him to stop playing his music so loud. Then, my neighbor submitted false complaints, stating that my tv volume was disburbing his "peace". As a result, the leasing office was willing to set up a sit down meeting. If the meeting did not work out, the leasing office even said they were willing to let one party break their lease agreement. In the end, my neighbor's lease was almost up and they declined the meeting (because they knew i would probally make them look like idiots) and stated they would move out (giving their two months notice).

Since then, my family and I have enjoyed our apartment and the community. I have a young daughter, and I take her for walks, and to the park some days. The most important benefit of St. Andrews is that I feel safe. They are one of the ONLY places that pull backround checks. For this reason, I feel safe, and do not have to worry about the wrong people obtaining leases in my community. Anyone that is an actual resident of St. Andrews is able to tell anyone that this place isn't that bad. Another example, I took my daughter around the community for Halloween, and the neighbors were so nice. It's like the residents in here can't wait to celebrate holiday's. Also, we stopped by the leasing office for candy, but we seen them while we were walking the community (driving around and handing out candy). Im sorry, but I think alot of these renters are as follows; Bitter tenants, conpulsive complainers, cheap-renters (ie. people who feel as though the high-price rent should be compensated with a 24 hour catering service), or fakes (people who work for other leasing offices, renters with bad experiences, or people upset because they allowed themselves to pay the $1,200 monthly rent, and struggle to make ends meet). Unfortunately, no apartment complex is able to make every resident happy. On the other hand, what other apartments are "pound-for-pound" better then St. Andrews' If so, name them. Most important, list the reasons that makes them better. Besides, what other apartment's are on the level of St. Andrews' Rockwood' (lol, those ugly front porches, stackable washer and dryers, and poor example of landscaping' My wife and I looked at those apartments after St. andrews, but were unable to find them as appealing) SchoolBell' The wooden construction, and mucky ponds...what about the cheap fixtures' In particular, the ugly door handles that say "jail" rather then "home")Foxrun' (They just merged with their ghetto nextdoor neighbors, Huntly Glen) Kormin' (I liked them until I laid down on the bed in the model apartment. If you want to hear I-95, what better place to spend your nights.)I may admit, my rent is 1,200 , and I plan on looking for a house when my lease is up, but if i had to rent, St. andrews would be my only choice. By the way, Im not the leasing office, and I live on King James Ct. After all, I know the complainers of apartmentratings.com will love to claim I am with the leasing office after reading my entry.

I can tell by what you wrote that I was actually the person living below you. I complained about you the very first weekend you moved in, because you were blasting your TV past 2AM and my girlfriend and I couldn't sleep. I complained on other occasions when your daughter would run around, jump off furniture, scream at the top of her lungs, etc. Because of the poor insulation, I could hear everything up there and it was PURE TORTURE. One night you were being loud so I put my TV up loud and you called the police. Talk about infuriating! The thumping from upstairs 24/7, the yelling, screaming, the loud TV, so one Friday night I decide to watch a music DVD and the cops are at my door.

The VERY NEXT DAY we were talking to realtors. We couldn't move out of there fast enough. That's why we didn't want to meet with you, we had already decided to buy a house at that point. We figured, this kid upstairs is a little human wrecking ball and we can hear EVERY thump, the office is doing nothing but writing letters and trying to have a meeting, the cops are coming to OUR door for no reason...we're in a no-win situation. The leasing office or the police can't mandate that someone discipline their child if it's screaming and jumping around. And the office was generally reluctant to get involved and did nothing to help. They told me they could only continue to take complaints from both sides and write letters. It wasn't their place to judge who was right or wrong. And when someone is complaining that you are being loud in retaliation for your complaints about them, unless you're a total idiot or just like drama, you realize you're living in a ridiculous environment.

Luckily our lease was up in a few months. And by the way, we were informed that if we did renew, our current rate was a "special" and the "new" rate would have been $300 more a month! Surprise! That made the decision very easy. The mortgage on our house is about $100 more than our rent would have been!

Now to the lady with the kid...I really regret this whole episode and I blame that poorly constructed building more than you. I understand that kids are loud. The problem is that between your floor and my ceiling was about 8 inches of air, no insulation. The music I played from my home office during the day was not that loud; I can't work with LOUD music. It was normal listening level. Yet you called the police for "vibrations". That is ridiculous, and the ones to blame are Reybold for being cheap and not insulating between floors when they built the place. That's really the cause of this whole stupid thing. A kid should be allowed to run around, and a man should be able to enjoy his music at a normal volume, without it torturing someone above or below.

That's really why I continue to check this site and warn people about St. Andrews. It should be expected that the average tenant is going to watch TV, listen to music, have kids or pets, or like to entertain; most people do some or all of those things. But when these things happen at St. Andrews, chances are, someone above or below is having their peace disturbed. And that is unforgivable. You're paying $1400 a month to live within paper-thin walls and have no privacy? To be unable to sleep? And to deal with a clueless, apathetic staff whose names and faces change every 2 weeks, smile at you but do nothing?

It may sound overly dramatic, but those last few months living under that level of constant noise, knowing that we still had 94, 93, 92, 91 days on our lease, was an awful experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. I would strongly discourage anyone from moving to St. Andrews.

This post was made by one of the most arrogant, immature people, I have ever seen.It also shows how biased you are. I see the last posting that you made, apartments.com had the good sense to delete. To deliberately trash your former neighbor on this site because they had the good sense to move out and better themselves shows the clientel that you will have to deal with here. Glad I moved and no I am not your former neighbor or any other conspiracy you can dream up. I am SOOO glad I am gone from this dump!
