Nice apartments, Horrible leasing staff

I lived her from Jan 2009 through June 2009, and the apartments themselves are very nice and quiet. The problems start arriving when you have to deal with the leasing office.
First of all, they have no means by which to handle package deliveries. All the packages are just left outside your apartment door or down on the bottom floor by the mailboxes for anyone who walks by to grab. I had packages stolen, and the leasing office said there was nothing they could do.
Then when it came time to move out (I was being relocated for work), I gave them my notice 35 days before my move on May 3rd. But apparently the clock for the "30 Days Notice" starts on the first of the month, so it only took effect June 1st, even though I was moving (and all lease dates were changed and approved well before) June 8th. This made me responsible for the rent through the end of June, even though I wasn't even there for or had a lease for the last 75% of the month. And the leasing office just stated that it was in the fine print of the letter they sent to me saying they approved my new lease termination date.
And the "normal wear and tear" clause for moving out apparently doesn't apply, either. You better be explicit with every little detail that's wrong when you move in and make sure it's exactly as it was when you move out or they'll slap you with a ton of fees ($20 for a tiny bit of lint in the dryer catch!!!).
Overall: very nice apartments, but appalling service.
