RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
I am so glad my lease here is ending ... I don't know where to start. The manager (Sarah) is the most incompetent, idiotic, property manager I have EVER come across in all of my years of renting. When you come to her and explain a problem you are having, she just says, "okay, okay, okay" like all she wants is for you to leave her alone. I have had maintenance problems with my apartment since the FIRST day I moved in. I let her know and even filled out the problems on the move-in inspection sheet. The "maintenance guys" have been out to my apartment over and over again, and the problem still isn't fixed. They, however, REFUSE to call in an expert plumber, or SOMEONE who knows what they are doing. It's been almost 11 months - RIDICULOUS!
The model you see when you first come in is wayy nicer than the actual apartment that you get. Granted, the rent is very cheap for the size of the apartment, but keep in mind that you'll be sharing your space with ROACHES!!! I called and asked for an exterminator, and they said they would send one out the following Wednesday. When I got home from work on Wednesday, I saw no notice that anyone had been there and didn't smell any bug spray so I called, and Sarah told me they had come out and used some kind of odorless gel. A week later, after still having bugs everywhere, I called back and complained and Debbie (leasing consultant) told me he had never even come!! I mean come on!!
Besides the actual apartment, parking is a NIGHTMARE. At first there weren't even lines drawn for the spaces, and when they finally did draw lines, they made the spaces TINY to try and fit more spaces. That means, you're more than likely going to be sideswiped in the parking lot. And the kids play in the parking lot riding their bikes all around the cars with no type of adult supervision! And they are RUDE! And last month one of my neighbors was robbed in the parking lot! You share one washer and dryer with about a billion other people, depending on which building you live in. And the $500 pet deposit is NOT REFUNDABLE like most places. Also, they make you shampoo your carpet before you leave, even if it has just normal wear and tear.
On the plus side, it is cheap and very convenient if you commute to Philadelphia or Wilmington. But that's about it. I'm just glad I'm getting out. I would NEVER recommend living here.
