Moved as fast as I could

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
Where would I even begin. I will say I am 33 years old and lived in over 10 apartments in the last 15 years. Water View Court Apartments was by far the worst place I ever lived in.
The problems started one month in. The firt utility bill I got was dated for example, 3/15/2008 and the due date on the bill was 3/16/2008 It was impossible for that bill not to be paid late because of when I recieved it. I was charged a late fee and told it wouldnt happen again. I didnt think much of it really...Next month, same thing then 2 days after the first of the month I have an eviction notice on my door saying landloard vs tenant. I paid my rent full, 4 days before the end of the month. But it took 2 straight weeks to get out of that court date and prove that I paid on time'' WOW! I had to find way of dealing with their petty games. I would just photocopy all my checks, write letters and make 2 copies so I could always prove I paid on time. The entire time I lived there they plaid games with late fees, claiming they didnt get payment, or sending bills late.
If you like to feel safe, dont live here. The apartments do have deadbolts! A robbers dream, just a simple lock. The front main doors on the apartments are not locked and left wide open. So any random person could get access to my apartment door. Random people will loiter in the hallways and you will hear nonsense all hours of the night. I slept with my gun next to my bed and there wasnt a nite I didnt feel as if someone could just come right in and rob me.
9 months into living there I saw a RAT, not a mouse, in my apartment. I was told someone could be out within 2 weeks. Well, I moved out early and would never even go near the place. The office is rude, the new management is no better then the old, dont let that statement fool you. Anyone will be nice when they are trying to take your money. If your really considering, knock on some random apartment doors and ask the actual tenants how they are enjoying their stay.
If you are considering this apartment, keep this in mind.
1. DEMAND to see the apartment before you move in, the windows did not lock in my apartment and I didnt know that until I moved in.
2. Realize management is one person who works 9-5 and hates their job
3. The main doors are not locked and each individual apartment doesnt not have a dead bolt!
4. If you get bad insects or rats/infestation, expect help "within 2 weeks"
5. The walls are extremely thin and you will hear your neighbors alarm clock, sex, or spouse abusal, which seems to happen alot at this apartment complex.
6. When you walk out the front door, be prepared to walk past 2 or 3 people who dont have a job and are eithering sitting there for the day or selling drugs.
7. My car was broken into and my sterio was stolen, so make sure you have an alarm or take the bus if you live here.
8. Be prepared to play games with your bills. Make records of all your payments as they will play every single last game in the book to catch you off guard.
9. Dont try calling the office. They dont answer. The only way to speak to someone once you live there is to walk to the office and wait for the person to return. At times it took me 3 days to actually track down a human being that worked thee.
10. If you get this apartment you must be desperate, in a rush, or never did reasearch.
11. STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM THIS NIGHTMARE OF AN APARTMENT! RENT WASNT CHEAP!
